Edgy Engagement Session at Woodward Park, Tulsa

When there’s a chance of rain & the greenhouse being closed, you risk it anyways.

Lainey & Bethany originally wanted photos inside the Conservatory at Woodward Park, but when we arrived at 7am in the morning only to see that the greenhouse was closed due to Covid-19, we got creative with what we had & the results are stunning. Starting in all black, Lainey & Bethany gave me all the edge for some super cool photos.

As we made our way around the greenhouse, finding creative ways to incorporate the building into their gallery, we found a section where the exterior windows were propped open. Lo & behold: the first image in this collection – my favorite image that would’ve never existed if we were able to actually explore the inside of the conservatory. I love being pushed creatively like this – it helps you to see things in a whole new light. We saw the windows, the rain droplets on top, and knew it was a must for a photo.

Lainey & Bethany met in high school while studying interior design at Tulsa Tech. From there, they began their journey together as this badass couple with the coolest style & sweetest personalities. When Lainey mentioned they brought their rainbow pride flag, I immediately knew they should fly it high and proud for a GIF that you’ll see at the end of this blog. I am proud to photograph couples of all backgrounds & I will always encourage inclusivity in everything I do. THANK YOU to Lainey & Bethany for trusting me to document your love, relationship, and engagement! I had the best time everrrrrr.
